So whats everyones opinion on a 600 as a newbie?.. I will be taking all the courses I can... my old man (scootertrash) said it's too big of a bike.... but theres atleast 4-5 guys in my shop with r6s and gixxers who were first time riders as well....

I'm a pansy when it comes to show boating.. even on my ATV we were out on a dirt bike track.. I jump it a little bit.. but I get scurd if I try too much.. lol.. so I figure if I can't jump my ATV on 4 wheels.. I won't do anything stupid on 2 wheels... :laughing6 :laughing6

It'll be awhile before I get to ride in Houston. :(

I'm in Alaska till oct 07 and then knows where I'll go from there...

but yea if I feel like doing dumb stuff.. I'll be sure to do it on the atv where I have 4 wheels and dirt to fall onto...

Hey John, glad you came aboard.

You pappy is right on this one..

Im not saying DONT get an R6, they are awsome bikes.... Im just saying to start out on get something alot more forgiving....one wrong move on the r6 and you are toast. Get something used, and something cheap that you can pay cash for. Ride the out of it and later when you are ready, get the R6.

Trust me, even if you get a ninja 250, youd be impressed with how quick they are, and how much fun youd have.

I myself started out on a 1990 kawasaki Zephr 550, then got a 88 gsxr 750, now my 98 900rr.

hit me up on aim sometime.....

BTW, hows the wifey? When are ya coming home again?
