Are bear traps legal? Can you make a smaller one that fits on the seat?

hmm.. what if we thought outside the box, instead of catching the thieves at the location of the bike, what if we put gps on the bike and followed them to their base.. and take down the whole operation

I read an interview in BIKE with some guys that went around baiting bike thieves. They'd hide in a windowless van parked near the bike and when the thief went for the bait, they'd jump him and drag him into the van. One guy drives, four guys beat the ever loving outta the thief. Drive out to the middle of nowhere and kick the out the back door. Stopping the van first is of course optional. :icon_bigg

I am completely down. I have been thinking about doing a sting for a while after both my bikes were stolen. The key is you need to leave the bike on YOUR property, not an apartment complex for several weeks to attract the attention and you also have to remain vigilant so they don't actually get away with it. When they come to take it just make sure you kill every single frickin one of them. As they would be trespassers you have every right to kill them. I wonder if the police would let you keep their truck? sort of like a sorry you had to go through the hassle of killing those scumbags.
