HOLY LACK OF TRACTION BATMAN!!

Ok so this a.m. i was on my way to work in the rain on my zx14 and when merging lanes i started to plane out and slid sideways for a little bit of distance. Scared the SH** out of me but i made it work alive and kept it up.

Now as I get of my bike for some reason I decided to look at my front tire. The left side tread is ALL gone and even core is showing.......... right side has tread. What would cause that? All I do is ride street. Would my balance being way off cause this? Cause it has been for some time and with out my hands on the handle bars itll wobble something fierce.

LONG story short I need to drop it off tomorrow somewhere close to get a new fron tire. I live in the league city area. Anyone suggest somewhere good? All I need is the install. I have the tire in hand.

Anything is possible but highly unlikely. Either tire was cut somehow before or during slide and came apart from there....maybe
Silverbird had Qualifiers on his Blackbird and either front or back lasted 2000 miles.

306 THAT COULD: My previous front tire was the same way.....I just thought it was from all the left turns I make....

CORRECT! most bikes many more left hand turns than right, if not the turn itself its the duration, and lean angles. most right hand turns are short, and quick, with little power. (on the street)

my tire is currently the same way. lots of tread from center to right, but center to left is almost bald.

last thing- could be rider tendency/preference. its not the tire, its the ride, and rider in this case.

Yea its time for a new set if your going to continue riding in wet weather. Some tires wear out different than others. Keeping that tire pressure properly inflated will have your tires wear evenly depending on your riding style.

ok good info......... but heres a ? for ya. Due to the wear pattern then could that have been the cause f my front wheel wobble when i would let go of the handle bars?
