Goldwing Owners, Question

Here's the scoop, I need a little help. I'm a life time motorcycle rider (age 44) that has been married to a wife of 15 years (age 54) that absolutely HATES motorcycles. She despises my R1. Anyway, recently I was able to get her onto the back of a converted Goldwing trike. I have her interested.....but need only thing to seal the deal. I need to get her onto the back of a two wheeled Goldwing. So if you are a Goldwing owner, I need your help....I need someone to take my wife for a ride on their Goldwing. It just needs to be a short ride, 10-15 minutes would suffice. I live out in the Hwy 6 and Westheimer area. If this is something you can do for us, please hit me up......shoot me a pm

Good luck dude. I used to own a 1984 GL1200. Greatest touring bikes on the planet. If you're able to get her on the back of the GL1800 she'll like it for sure.

My school director just bought one. Ill ask him if he is willing to take someone for a ride. More than likely you will have to go down here though. 10-15 mins away from the location you posted. Ill let you know after i talk to him.

I think this is one of the main reasons she has always refused to get onto a motorcycle......she knows how I like to ride.

She will like the bike. The comfort, creature conforts and convenience is just incredible. The tunes are sooo loud with an ipod turned up full blast(ipod connection comes stock with the bike) you can hear it clear at a 110mph which is just a comfortable cruising speed on the bike. (It will top out at 138) Only thing bad is cops hassle you for the tunes being SO LOUD.

You will love it for perfomance, the storage, the cornering ability(me and radar have both caught sportbikes in the twisties riding two up), brakes, and most of all wheeling especially with the ole lady on the back. The ladies don't even get scared because of the back rest where my wife doesn't like wheeling on the gixxer AT ALL.

Me and radar would be glad to give her ride if you come down here but it is best for you to rent one so ya'll could ride together. Just don't forgot the ipod loaded with alot of your wife's favorite music.

She does love the stereo system. When I got her onto the back of that 1800 trike, that is one of the things that got her to thinking that she might be able to handle riding on a motorcycle....that along with that big nice cushy seat and the intercom system. She is just unsure if she can handle the "lean" factor on the bike. As far as popping a wheelie with the ole lady on the back, if I were to get one....I would NEVER do that.......that would end her motorcycle riding in a heart beat. My wife gets scared really easily

LOL. As far as the leaning thing. I gave my sushi chef's wife a ride and she would giggle everytime I went around a corner. So she might like the leaning more than you think. The wheelies don't do that my wife doesn't even like them anymore after I did about 50 or so wheelies on a rental in San Fransciso. She said the first 10 or so was ok but she thought 50 was ridiculous. But man I was have soo much fun plus the looks you get from wheeling a goldwing are priceless.

I agree with comfy don't get the trike. She might like it but you will hate it.

There is no way in I would ever get a trike. My uncle just so happened to have gotten one recently and that was my best chance on getting the wife on the back of a Goldwing......that one short ride did wonders, opened up her eyes to how enjoyable it could be. But you won't catch me owning a trike, too dangerous in my book

I got the wife on the back of a Kawasaki Mean Streak that I owned years ago, Took her for a ride around the block, top speed 20mph. She dug those nails into me every time I went around a corner
