Since your in Katy and it is a Yamaha, I would say go talk to Brandon at the Yamaha shop. He did some work on my KTM, and there was a small issue that was done wrong and he is addressing it. I was impressed with the way he acknowledged it, and agreed to make it right. Everyone makes mistakes, but to acknowledge it and offer to make it right goes along way in my book.

I don't know Patrick personally, but I know others that do. I would take any bike I had to him if he were closer and I don't think you can go wrong with him. I also have used Andy at Metric Motorcycles for working on the Bimota and the KTM SMR and I have zero complaints.

Kevin Stasny at KS Cycle Works did me right on my old 900 SS/SP also. He is in old town Katy.

If it might be something basic, you can bring it to the house and we can check it out. I am not a mechanic (far from it), but I do alot of my own stuff as long as it is not too complicated. If you have a manual, that's a bonus.
