Bryan Motorcycle Accident Leaves One Man Dead

http://www.kbtx.com/home/headlines/60002787.html

Bryan, TX - A motorcyclist is dead following a morning accident in Bryan.

It happened around 9:40 a.m. on Highway 21, west of Highway 6 in front of the McDonald's restaurant.

Police say Eric Barker, 29, was riding his motorcycle westbound on Highway 21, when a black car headed east turned left to enter the McDonald's parking lot. That's when the car collided with the motorcycle.

Barker was taken to St. Joseph's Regional Health Center where he was pronounced dead.

It's unknown whether the driver of the car was ticketed.

I wouldnt be surprised if the driver doesnt get anything. These country folk towns dont care much for motorcycle riders a lot of the time.

Well, Bryan/College Station isn't really considered the country. What probably happened is some fat on a cell phone turned in front of the rider trying to make the McDonalds breakfast before 10am.

Maybe... or maybe not. Assumptions are one thing, and some assumptions are more likely than others. What is a fact... is that the Cager simply did not see the motorcyclist, or was not able to correctly guage his speed or distance. There is very consistant supporting data, through years and years of research, to support this fact.

I'm with you on this. I'm just going on with what I deal with on my ride days into work. I constantly having to be aware of those coming towards me in the turning lane. Assumptions will be made until a full investigation is released.

Said the man from Katy. I remember when that place was smaller than B/CS. Had more rice fields and skeeters too.
