Busted speeding... 86 on a 70... No Endorsement bikes get towed?! WTF since when!!

Now now. I know what yall going to say BUT. I was not doing 86... I was going 78 mph when me a buddy of mine were coming from FM 390 and cruising home on 105 in washington county.
This is how it went down:

Boss Hog: So son do you know how fast you and your friend were going?
Me: Yes Sir I was going 78 and my friend was probably slower.
Boss Hog: Thats not what my radar shows. My Radar says 86.
Me: Nooooo
Boss Hog: Do you want to see... " Me thinking yes but then he would imply that im calling him a liar a slap me or some chit"... no i dont want to take a look see...
Boss Hog: Let me get yalls license and ins cards...
He looks at mine, then looks at my friends and tells him that he has no motorcycle endorsement and he will have to get his bike impounded.
So there goes me having to keep my mouth shut to prevent my friend from losing his bike in washington county to boss hog.
So after 10 mins he calls my friend over to his truck and talks to him for 5 minutes and states effective as of SEPTEMBER 1st no endorsement on the license means bike gets impounded. After wards he gets two tickets and I get the one.
Bottom line im getting a lawyer to fight this ticket, but does anyone know about this law?

All I know is that the msf as of 09/01/2009 is manditory for anyone in need of a M license

I know there have been several threads posted about this...im not sure if there was something in there about impounding of the bikes....but im sure it is the same as cars, if you don't have a license then your t gets towed

aside from not having an M endorsement and going over the posted limit in the first place, I'll list your biggest mistakes:

1. Admitting going 78
2. Arguing with the cop

There's no point in getting a lawyer to fight the ticket, really. If the cop shows up to court you're going to lose, PERIOD, because you admitted to speeding. In the future the best thing to do is say NOTHING other than 'yes sir' or 'no sir'. Admitting to speeding at a different speed than he claims you did isn't going to get you out of it with him, and you'll NEVER win an argument on the side of the road.

'Yes sir', 'No sir', and then take it to court.

Impounding the bike is not a new law. They've always had the right to impound the bike and arrest you if you don't have a valid M license.

They've just begun using the impounding of the bike to get the point across, and it's about friggin time. (seems to be working too)

More Info If You Want It.

Washington Co is outta control. I went to jail there once, they tried some article 51 bullshit and siezed by bike. Not impounded, but fkn siezed it.

I had to lawyer up big time. 7k later, beat the case and got my bike back but dayum. That county is FED up with motorcyclist. I dont even go on that route anymore. And if ya do...better not stop. Cuz youre going to J-A-I-L, for sure.
