Shop prices?

I got a $109 tire and a regular oil change and it all came out to $260, is that normal?

I don't mind paying to keep it in shape, just seems high to me.. but.. this is the first time I've taken the bike to the shop so I'm not really up on maint. prices and all that jazz. input?

Seems a little high but different shops charge diff amounts. You should know what the bill will be before they do the work. If not you have no one to blame

well he called to upsell the tire, said it would be like $180 (total for everything on the tab, cuz i asked), and the original write up was just for a $30 oil change so it was a little weird showing up to pay and getting a $260 tab. I'm guessing he just left out frickin parts and labor entirely or something on the price he gave me over the phone.

Shaft driven bikes are a lot more work than chain or belt driven units. I'm heading to work in a bit and will find the labor involved. How much labor did the charge on the bill?

Sounds high for a front tire. Do you know what kind of oil they used?

Now that I can see the thread on a full screen it does indeed seem a tad pricey. Motorcycles Unlimited FTW!
