MSRH gear selection....carousel to pit straight

It seems that this is my weakest point at the track.

I do fine in the carousel itself, its one of the places i feel most comfortable passing, but in the series of little turns leading into the pit straight, i feel out of whack, and almost always I'm in too high of a gear to make a good drive out to the pit straight, and waste time downshifting where that little speedbump area is.

For those with 600's, can you walk me through your gear selection from the carousel, onto the pit straight.

I'm almost certain that I can pick up a second or so just by having a better gear selection in that particular area.

4.....then backshift to 3rd....through the carousel in 3rd...then when I flick it back to the right, for the drive onto the front straight, I backshift to 2nd, clutchless.

Then I ride a whoolie down the straight...back it in for sugar and spice.... lol...nah...but the other part is true.

I go in at the top of 3rd or 4th. I feel better in 4th. Right before I flick it right I throw it down to 2nd. I'm not fast at all though.

Like everyone else seems to, I go through the carousel in third and drop down to second when transitioning from left to right before the pit straight to get a good drive out and down the straight.

Diamonds edge is easy...........see all them black marks? You should be in 6th right before that. When you get to the black marks........locked up rear brake and throw it in first!!!!

Yeah, when I took the SV out there I think I left a little rubber there myself. Used to having slipper clutch on the GSXR. Ran into Diamonds Edge a couple times and forgot I was on SV. Didn't blip the throttle as I dumped it a gear (or 2) and got squirrely as a ......was fun though!!!!!

Dirk Anderson told me to run in 5th through that bend and blimp the throttle every gear down shifting into 2nd not letting the clutch out until 2nd gear is reached.

I tried it a couple of times and it really helps!!! Scary as doing it the first time though.
