Longhorn Schedule Change

Just letting everyone know that the May 8th Monday has been taken over by CHAMP cars getting ready for the Houston Grand Prix. In exchange we are getting a Saturday date to be determined in June. I'll keep you posted. Also of interest........... Our Sunday "mini event" was very well recieved and has some potential. We are presently considering the feasability of a Sat, Sun once a month event limited to 20 riders for 175.00. Half hour sessions on a regular member weekend, we got 4.5 hours of track time on Sunday. So far the list is made up of previous LMS guests that showed they are safe, serious, and laid back. We still are not selling out and if we can't get a better turn out, this may be the direction we go in the future. Let's hear your thoughts if you would be so kind as to add your input. Thanks......Buck

If the Sat. or Sun. once a month deal is a go, you can put me down for every single one of them. As long as it's not a race weekend, I'm down! Sounds like a good idea to me Buck. Plus attracting more folks that can't get away from work on Mondays.

I agree with the guy above. Although Monday are good for me 9.5 times out of 10, a SAT/SUN deal would be a sure bet every time...Plus then I could bring other people with me to check it out that can't make it on Mondays.

Judging by the huge rider turnout for Ridesmart's events, Sat or Sun should be no problem to fill. Most LSTD track days are on weekdays which makes it difficult for some folks who work a reg week, so they all sign up for Ridesmart saturdays...I've never done Ridesmart but I have been told it can be a zoo with the crowded track. I will take a vacation day to attend an MSRH event though, it's worth it!

I'm giving "the wonder boy" 150 bucks for this Saturday. Would I have rather given it to Buck? Oh hells yeah! Even if it's to ride on a track that's not going to be on the schedule this year? Oh hells yeah! Track time is track time. Cant beat that. Plus I'm sure it will be on the schedule for next year. I know we have to work around the big money car folks. And that's fine. But whenever they are not playing, and we have a chance to play, I'm all over it!

Cool. You might call dave and tell him to call ya if someone cancels or heck just take your bike in gear and maybe he will let you ride the afternoon for half price. I will be the furthest paddock from the tunnel entrance.

Buck, Seems to me, it might be a good idea to try a Sat for the school and see how it goes...may be a hit...

would it be hard to change the day from Mon to Sat if we sold one out? Or is that not an option with member days?

Seems fromt the responses it'd be better for about 95% of folks to come on Sat. Including myself!
