I got my Gix600 repair/maint manual on cd-rom from Ebay for $6.99.

Def doesn't cover what Patrick and other repair shops can do, but will def give you LOTS of info to keep you from letting your bike get into a major repair state.

^ Yah, I definitely am not ready for overhaul or even carb dismantle-ing... Just basic stuff like change oils/filters/tightening/loosening stuff etc.

minor things are fairly simple on most bikes, but going by the book is always a good way to learn everything (like special sequences or anything of the matter) Try to watch some dyi videos on the web and see if you can come up with anything

Cause it's a PDF some guy found on the net and is trying to make a buck (literally) by selling on ebay. If you just want the PDF file you can find it out there on the net by searching around for almost any bike.

Sometimes if you can find a forum for a certain make and model, you can do some searching and find a PDF version for free. Thats what I did when I had my gsxr 600. Went online to gixxer.com and found a free pdf download. Worked like a charm!
