be sure the ball of your foot is on the inside peg. If your arch is on the peg, you'll never get your knee out there.

do you have any pics of yourself riding to see how you look?

i think each rider has his own style, some get both knees down, some only touch one knee down. monday was the first time ever for me to put down my left knee. for me its more difficult b/c of my hieght. if you're draggin pegs, then you could be leaning the bike over too much and not enough lean angle with the body, you can put more of your body off of the bike and keep the bike more upright ( this also gives you more contact patch b/t the tire and the pavement.) gettin a knee down is only exciting for those who have never done it.

I need to work on relaxing too. I've noticed that I tense up just thinking about riding on the track. I didn't have a problem with my hands getting numb until my last session. It was from the death grip while heavy braking.

I had one other scare which was kinda funny know that I think about it. Going into turn 4 I braked while the bike was leaned over pretty far and it made the bike immediately stand up!

thats what trailbraking is for, just lightly and i mean lightly keep pressure on the brakes as you are leaned over and you'll be just fine..

That's usually where my foot is. Even when street riding.

Here they are:

see how upright you are on the bike in the first pic? You should have your body leaned over, trying to kiss the mirror (as if it were there) with you being upright the bike has to lean way more than it should.

I was only in the beginner and expert groups. I have been in the intermediate at other track days, but I dont think I got out there on monday.

Heres a HUGE pic...but its easier to see body/foot position here...also have me to compare with Mike as well for reference...
