Congrats Buck, and that Z1R-TC was very cool but too much motor for that spindly frame

It was SOOO much fun though! That thing was a wheelie monster even on the freeway, and that's saying a lot for over 20 years ago! It was very unpredictable on the street though. You never knew exactly when the boost would come on. Drag races were an absolute blast! The only thing even close back then was a CBX, but they were WAY heavy (and still ran mid to high 10's in the 1/4 mile).

Was that you I passed on the Nasa rd. 1 freeway heading toward kemah, if it was I was on the grey Honda. Great looking bike in person, even moving.

when I was a senior in HS, the 999R xeros edition came out. It was so different form all the other bikes in the market with it's stacked up headlight and clean flowing lines, worlds apart from all the others. That's the bike that infected me with motorcycling bug, the price for it was $39,999 back then so it was a rather unobtainable amount of money for me without having to resort to some devious business. So what i did was to go to game stop and buy tourist trophy for ps2 since it features the bike.
it's been 2 years since then and I haven't yet manage to get my hands on that bike, and probably not anytime soon.
