Man that would be awesome! I didnt know that with the deal that Spies and Yamaha made for 10 in WSBK and 11 for GP was going to be subject to change and possibly have Spies in GP next year. Wow.

I'm going to leave my money with Spies in WSBK next year; but I can see him doing some select races with Tech 3.

I think this does ring the death toll for Toseland. What a disappointment he became. I was really looking forward to him being a factor in MotoGP...

He's always got his music to fall back on.

I am mixed over this one really. Love to see Colin and Ben together as it would be FANTASTIC for Ben to be mentored by Colin. But if I was the big cheese at Yamaha, I'd leave Ben in WSBK for another year and dominate both series, and send sales through the roof. Yamaha currently leads WSBK, MotoGP, and British SB...........

I think what they'll do is send Toseland to WSBK to see if he can win it for them there. The word "forsee" in their press release is what gets me and even Poncharal didn't want to deny it or admits it. I'm with you. I'd think it'd be an awesome team to watch. I think if Spies wins it and stays another year, he may become bored.

With the current talent in that series, not bloodly likely

Some of the late coming riders are relative rookies too, and they're giving Elbowz a run for his money at a lot of races, they just haven't found what it takes to finish the races up front as he has.

I think we'll see Spies in WSBK for 2010 and select races in MotoGP for 2010; maybe he'll end the season early in 2010...

If Spies doesn't make it over next year, I will still be glad to see Toseland out of there. They advised that they are speaking with Randy de Puniet. I guess playboy honda is going away?

I hope Spies makes it over to GP next year and they give Tech 3 all of Fiat's goodies. If Spies does it..... it is going to be a looooooong winter.

an all texas tech 3 would be awesome, but only if they can run towards the front of the pack. colin's been great this year, but has had horrible luck, same as nicky. i'd love to see an all-american top 3 at least once next season. it would be just what the sport needs to boost fans in the US. making it better for everyone.

Tech 3 is a French owned team so why not a french rider? I say meh though. Though Randy has made huge strides this season.

I don't think LCR Honda is going any where... One rumour has them running 2 bikes next season.

waiting...

I think Ben would be at a huge disadvantage if not waiting for a Factory Yamaha ride. Yes he is crazy talented but going up against Rossi and Lorenzo on factory yamahas would be a carrer killer for Spies. Not to mention the Pedrosa, Stoner, and rest of the Moto Gp field with tons of GP experience. As seen with Spies 1 moto GP ride for Suzuki during 08', setting up and riding a GP machine is a big difference from AMA or SBK bikes.
IMO Spies should wait for a Factory ride.

He has to have one year on a satellite team per the rookie rules.
