Id guess a 42-44ish. Im 5'6" 180-190#s and Im usually between a 40 and a 44 depending on the brand and cut.

The dudes at newenough.com are pretty cool and are based in TX. Give them a call and see what they say about the sizing. If they have a guy there about your dad's size I would bet he would try the jackets on and let you know how they fit

Pretty cheap for a quality jacket.
