clutch lever help?

Katana 600 2002

Ok, so i had to replace my clutch lever. And i was tweaking with the cable,i think i had it set for too much slack, then i tightened it up...that was bad, cuz it pretty much just held my clutch in...i think i got it.But im not 100% certain. Is there a for sure way to make sure im not riding the clutch, and im doing this the right way? what are some of your, do-it your self experiences and advice.

...besides taking it to the dealer. id rather just learn, and do it myself, thanks.

Tightening the slack on the clutch lever side: twist the taller round thing (lock) then twist the cable adjustment (where lock is on). You can't miss it.

Hope that helps

when you cut the slack, make sure you leave SOME wiggle room. People say that a good visual is to stick a penny between the lever and the base.
