very good read.. my instructor and good friend pete cant express to me that even though I feel like im off the bike im only about 70 percent there.. the head down and looking through the turn is what I will be really concentrating on at the up and coming track days.. Great read Will

1. I love when people speak in absolutes- shows their ignorance.

2. There are LOTS of examples of pros and very fast amatuers who have less than textbook riding styles out there- I dare say as many examples as the ones who have styles close to textbook.

I can think of a few other exceptions, but Mick is the most obvious.

I think Jason Pridmore said it best: try to emulate the 99% FIRST, and then if that doesn't work, emulate the 1%ers (the Spies, the Rossis, and the Doohans of the world).

The bottom line is, if it allows you to go as fast as you want without crashing and feels comfortable..........who is anyone else to tell you to "fix" it?
