yeah that was me in the old NWO shirt, I'd of been more talkative but I had been driving all day in the sun and felt like a zombie.. I walked in like "Uhhhhhhhhhhhmmm baaaaaaaar eeeeeeends neeeeeededddd...."

But +1 to good service, Patricks always been helpfull to me in the past, I've bought tires from him before and he was cheaper than the comp.. But even if he wasn't it's not always about price, but how your treated when you walk in the door and I've always felt appreciated.

Seemed a little rude when i was in there too. It might have just been everyone talking so good about the shop that i was expecting heaven though.

One thing you have to remember when dealing with a business owner, and this goes for any business not just Motorcycles Unlimited, is that they are trying to make a living, and if you want to sit around and talk about the weather or your dog or aunt B, your keeping them from making a living, but if you want to talk about bikes, as in, what they can do to make yours better, then your talking business and they can help you out.

If someone came to your job and tried to chit-chat all day you might get a little preterbed too, I'm not saying anything about any specific person but you have to keep in mind, people are coming and going all day long and if everyone sat around to chit-chat for 15 minutes then the whole day has gone by and nothing gets done.

Rude-No
Business minded-yes

I wasn't trying to chit-chat at all. I went in there to pick up some shoes I ordered, and they grabbed some Sidi boots. I told them that was not them but jokingly said 'But I'll take those' to the guy working there. That's when Patrick I'm guessing said 'No you're not' It's not what he said that bothered me, at all. . . it was the tone in which it was said. I know it may not be a big deal at all to some, but that was my first impression of the shop since it was the first time I've ever been there. With the way everyone was talking, I was easily expecting to start driving across town to get everything there, not the $70 I had spent. It seems as though mine was basically an isolated experience, so I may go there again fairly soon and hope for better. The girl that works there was really nice ehwn I went in to order them though.

BTW, yeah I know. . . I'm really picky about shops.

I've been going to Patrick since 2003 and the shop has always done great work on my bike... they are always more than willing to help load/unload and they've provided a ton of help at trackdays (especially in my early crash-prone days). :icon_bigg

In fact... my bike's going back in this weekend to have a new shock installed by them. They are the only ones to touch my bike.

hey man, how are the shoes? i thought they looked pretty sweet. i remember when you and patrick said that. i know patrick's intension with the tone he used weren't to tell you that you couldn't take those sidis in a rude manner. but more along the lines of "your crazy! those shoes are more expensive than those stunter shoes haha" kind tone
