Houseofpain takes a ride in the meatwagon...

so this weekend didn't go exactly as planned. I had a bad concussion, so the only thing I can report to you guys is what people have told me. The last thing I remember was kicking my leg over the bike, and having all my gear taken off before goin in the ambulance.

It rained all morning at Cresson, so I did the halfday trackday. My first session out, I highside my SV650 sprint bike. everything was good besides the fact that the forks got tweaked and there were no brakes. So i rode the backup bike (which is also our endurance bike). 4pm came around and i told my sidekick I better get a session in on the R6 before raceday sunday, and she says "be careful, no tire warmers, and those tires are shagged badly"......well, that's the last thing i remembered before getting into the ambulance.

Word is i highsided right over the crest as you're exiting the wagon wheel, was laid out on the track, and 2 other riders were going over the hill and didn't see me before it was near too late. they collided trying to dodge my almost dead lookin body, one of them ran me over.

With the help of all my friends I got my leathers on for sunday raceday, planned on doing 1 lap in each race to salvage some points. race 1, i did just that, gridded behind all the riders, started the race, did my lap, and pulled in and watched the rest of the race from the top of the hill. that was one of the most heartbreaking moments EVER, knowing that I should be in that race fighting for 1st place. race 2 comes by, I tell myself grid in the back and do the same thing, except this time I couldn't resist and finished the whole race and finished 8th. race 3 comes by, and I grid myself in the back of the grid once again and telling myself, just stay midpack and get whatever points you can get.....well, i rode in my comfort zone and still pulled off a 3rd place.

now that the weekend is over, i will be seeing an orthopedic specialist tomorrow hopefully and schedule a surgery date. I seperated some bones in my shoulder and the doc at the hospital says it's too far apart, so surgery with pins is the only way to fix it. i also ended up with a bad concussion which is why i don't remember a thing. catscans came back fine, i'm still as crazy as i was originally. watch out boys and girls, i'll be back and ready for oak hill's race in 3 weeks!!!! i'll post up pics of my gear later

thanks to my booger, my uncle, and my friends for going with me and staying with me at the hospital.

Good on ya Tony Tony Tone.

Oh yeah, I have video if you want to remember what happened after the crash...

Also, you didn't get run over but the bike did- the other dude was Jeff Grant and he was right behind you. He hit the bike and crashed about 50 yards past you.

Glad you're doing well my man!
