Bike(s):
Yamaha FZR600

The first bike I learned how to ride was a Yamaha R6.

Just don't be an idiot on the thing and you will be fine. And for the love of , get some gear and ride with gear on.

If you are worried about the heat, get a textile jacket with armor plating and cushioning.

And do a lot of research. The only reason why I did well on a 600 as my first bike is that I have people in my family who ride and also I did LOTS and LOTS of research on the different types of bikes AND riding techniques and common noob mistakes.

Be safe and be smart.

be careful there are alot of noobs that go down but then again there are experienced riders that go down as well.... be careful, dont drive TOO fast. as far as mods, you dont need any that have to do with speed because no rider ever out rides the capability of a 600 on the street. there are however other mods you can do that will make your bike look better, fender eliminator, flush mount blinkers, frame sliders ect. welcome to mh and listen to what everyone is telling you

We do meets AND rides all the time, on EVERY side of town. But if you wanna join a club, wear a vest/colors/whatever they do and pay dues, more power to ya. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. Lots of knowledgeable folks on here. GL with your bike search.

Hey man , you joined a great forum.
Lots of the guys & gals have lots of experience in riding bikes & mods.
