More starting probs ...

'04 ZX10r - Ever since I put the PCIII on I have lost something on cold starts. Before, hot or cold, one push on the starter and she would fire right up, now, when cold, it always takes two attempts to start. I know this isn't a big deal but annoying. It always starts perfectly when warm. The only thing I can relate it back to is the PCIII. Also, at 3,000 rpm, 2% throttle, there is a hard stumble in the engine, again it seems to stem from the PCIII. Pehaps it's mapped lean in that area? Any thoughts - ideas - help would be greatly appreciated. :dontknow:

What's been done to the bike? How many miles are on it? What map do you have? Did you synch the TPS with the PCIII?

Just the PC III and a TRE, along with the TRE the sub throttle sensor was adjusted to the TRE manufacturers specs. I running a map from the maker of the TRE. The bike has around 12K miles. I was thinking about switching to a map that was installed in the PC when I got it. this map is quite a bit richer across the board, but wanted to get some other opinions before I ventured out to the garage with my trusty laptop.

A TRE on a ZX10? Is it an Ivan's or a knock off?
Do you have a slip on?

Back to a one of my original questions; Did you synch the primary TPS with the Power Commander?

I'd also put the secondary TPS back to the stock setting, as that is what is probably causing your 3000 rpm stutter. I'd also like to look at the mapping, sounds like there may be some issues there as well.

Synched the throttle and the 3,000 rpm stutter went away, thanks Patrick.

Still have the cold start issue, but much happier now with one of 'em fixed.

Thanks again Patrick
