Destination Riding VS Leisure riding.

I just want to get some opinions on this subject.

I personally believe that riding to a destination is more enjoyable than just riding around with no distination in mind (just taking a stroll). I also believe that riding to a destination is less likely to get you into trouble (of all forms) less than a leisure ride. I just think its good to think about these things.

Opinions?

Every time I ride it's because I can, I have a cage to get me from point A to point B.

In the 35K miles I have ridden in the past two years I don't think I have done more than 200 miles of riding just for fun. Let alone having no destination. Sigh, responsibility sucks. I think I will take a day off, not let anyone know and just cruise.

I see what you were thinking by saying this... When I ride around just for the of it, sometimes I end up pushing myself out of my comfort zone. When I ride to get to work, friends house, etc... I just take it easy.

Either way though, its always more fun to be on 2 wheels. Beautiful weather is beautiful weather... I take it when I can.

Most of the time I am riding to a destination. I would like to have more time to be able to just explore.

If you don't have a destination, then your destination is looking for po-po.

No-destination-in-mind riding for sure. Well, if I have to have one, it'd be a well known motosickle road w twisties. I want to take 2wks-1mo off from everything and just ride. First destination is to get the fck out of Texas.

This is America...

there is always food at the destination, or alcohol. No lie, rockhard truth. Look at the event thread.

i prefer riding just to ride and come back to homebase. i hate being worried about my bike when im at the movies or eating dinner. in my opinion there really arent many places in houston that are worth putting the gear on and sitting in traffic on a bike either. i have a car for everyday errands.
