Do they keep a credit or debit card on file to charge you with the invested amount starts to run low?
And what do they consider to be low before hitting you up again?

i do the cc/dc thing, but i think you can also run a CASH balance.

when it gets down to less then $10, it usually gets brought back up to like $70 for my 4 tags.

With a cash ballance. Do they send you a bill for the Re-Up when it gets low?
I'd much rather do this than give someone access to my bank account

don't know. i;d imagine so, but it's a PITA unless you live/work near a toll office.

Yeah I have one for my car charged through my credit card like Racer X.
It's easy...I never have to worry about it.

I think it recharges you when it goes down to like below 10 bucks. You save 25 cents on most tolls...you don't have to wait in the pay lines or worry about having change. It basically makes your own EZTag account with 40 bucks in it...then when your account gets down to 10 bucks or less, they charge your card again and put more money in your EZTag account. I've never had any problems and I can vow that they have not overcharged me or done me wrong. You can also look on their website, I believe and see what tolls you have gone through, with exact times and dates. (if there is a discrepency).

And just for info---EVEN IF YOU HAVE AN EZTAG ACCOUNT...If you go through a toll and it does not read it and thus reads your plate, you will start getting warnings and then tickets in the mail.
If you go through and it can tell you have one, but that your batteries are getting low, a yellow light will flash "see the eztag store"
But when the red light flashes, it reads your plate and you can suffer consequences even if you do have an eztag registered to your name.

But like I said, I've NEVER had a problem and wouldn't trade my eztag for anything in the world.

It'd be cool if they could make a keychain one since often your keys are on the top of your bike. Hmmm...

You have 2 options!!!
You can put the Tag in the side pouch (saddle bag) or you can leave it at home.
You just have to register the license plate. As long as your account is in good standing you will not get tickets, they will charge you based on the license plate not the tag number. The prices are the same as a car though cause the tag is the same.

You will get away with it most days, but it just takes that one day to ruin all the savings you may have accrued. Your choice.
Just take your ticket to the EZtag store. Pay your Dollar and get a receipt for paying the toll. Fax that to the court house. Done. Cost you a dollar and few minutes of your time.

wrong, they will send an invoice to your house for 17.50 each time, plus administrative fees etc, was like 35. for each offense basically. I racked up like 6 run tolls w/o even knowing it wasnt reading the "card or unit"
I did have one on account and it was on the truck dashboard, it didnt pick it up, but it did get the plate number and thye DID NOT apply toll charge to my account, thye sent letters and invoice. Of course I called them and told them the account was active and they dropped the BS charges and applied the toll fee only, since then is when I velcroed to upper windsheild and have a velcro spot on the bike also for it.

I called the EZ tag place and that is where I got the information but the tag must be registered to your bike not another car and you switch it.
