Question ELKA rear shock?

any of you guys run elkas race shock? how do they compare to the ohlins and penske? its nearing time for me to upgrade suspension on my r1 and was looking at whats out there

It is going to be hard to beat a proven product, I'd stick with either a Penske or Ohlins.

I haven't heard anything bad about them. They have a very good record in the Off-Road racing sectors. They're not Ohlins, but from what I've heard/read, they are very good shocks for the money. Elka's been around awhile and they seem to have very high quality products. If you can't afford Ohlins, this would be a good alternative, imho.

If you're going to have someone tune your suspension, consult them. They're who is going to have to deal with it. If the tuner is not familiar with the product, it could be the best in the world and it wouldn't matter.

Good luck. I've heard good things about Elkas, but have no personal experience.
