Without a story behind the picture it's easy to argue in either rider's favor.

You guys want a story?

Okay Story 1:
#41 is going around the outside, thus the one making a pass (carrying alot more speed then #14), uses the turn's unique camber to make the pass - on the brakes, however forcing #14 to hit the rear wheel and go down (#14).

Whose at fault?

Story 2:
#41 is leading, takes the wider line, #14 tried to stuff - and ends up hitting the rear wheel of (#41) and then ends up going down.

Whose at fault?

So?

I was going to say 14 was at fault but by your stories it sounds like 41 might be to blame, but then again dose it really matter? It is a race?

It is the responsibility of the person attempting the pass to make a clean pass.

If one was passing on the outside and was hit by the one he's trying to pass, the one attempting the pass is "at fault".

If the person on the inside is trying to pass by stuffing up the inside and hits the one on the outside, the one on the inside is "at fault".

Racing 101 rules. Person making the pass is responsible for making a clean pass.

Racing 102 rules, whiners shouldn't race. Just sayin'.

.

#41 is me - #14 is a good racer/friend. We're both 1 point away overall in the sprint class this incident happened in.

I ended up 1st, with him 2nd and 3rd went to #75.

I was just curious what all your thoughts were..we ended up touching and loosing time, nobody went down though.
