^^^^^ This is all good advice for you. Usually, nobody will mess with someone asleep. , in Harris County 1301, you can get in a fight just for being awake and looking in someone's general direction. Like I said though, most small city jails are really laid back. The other thing that I have seen is a noob coming in the tank trying to look tough thinking that it will keep people off of him. It works just the opposite. People will try you out to see what you're made of. Just be yourself and don't do or say anything insulting to anyone (or especially ABOUT anyone) while you're in there. Don't wear any jewelry there either. They are just going to take it from you when you go in anyway. Also, wear shoes without laces because they are gonna take your laces when you check in, and if your shoes fall off without the laces in, you're going to be spending your time trying to keep them on. Honestly, go buy some cheap Vans or something that you can slip on and off, but that are cheap enough that nobody will want them.

Doesn't matter, most all jails will take your jewelry, shoes, wallet, pretty much everything except pants and shirt. They do not allow you to bring personal items in the unit. Some even take your socks

They take your shoes now? Granted, it's been years since I've visited on of their fine establishments, but they never took mine in a city jail.

Talk to the judge, tell him you have been having family problems and you forgot your court date or just make up some kind of bs that's believable and ask if he can reschedule a court date without you posting bond. Also if you have the money just post bond cause you will get it back. If you use a bailbond you don't get your money back

I thought you said she didn't open it? Just tell her it's taken care of... or change your address. Get a PO Box.

This is something that I have been thinking about. You don't want a clouded record for the rest of your life. You might not be able to get a job that you really want because other applicants that don't have anything on their records are more apt to get the job.

At the airport we have to pass a pretty extensive background check. A guy that I work with had a DUI when he was 17. That was over 25 yrs ago and they gave him a real hard time over it.

It's something that I would look into. May really be worth it in the long run. Sorry if this adds another variable into the equasion.
