bike problems

so i go to start up my bike and it starts right up and i leave it outside idleing to get warm. i get on i give it gas and the second i let off the throttle it dies. then i go to start it back up and it wont start. the lights are on i hear the fuel pump but its a no go.

if i let it sit for a while it will start up again but shuts off when i give it gas.

looks like she'll be going to into the shop asap.

Check the idle and make sure it's not too low, should be around 1200 - 1300 rpm.
The idle ajustment is on the right side with the tank up.

Had the same problem with my sand rail, turned out to be the carb. Don't know what it would be on a fuel injected engine.

How many miles on the bike?
When was the last service?
Plugs, air filter?
Is the FI light on?
Fullk tank of gas? Did you recently fill up? Possibly water in the fuel, if so pick up some Siloo water dispersant at O'Reilleys.

7000 miles. i took it to the shop today and they said it might be a valve adjustment, or spark plug. each which are supposed to get done at 7500 miles.

the FI light is not on and i filled up the gas right before the problems started. hmmm

Your GSXR valves are not scheduled to be adjusted at 7500 miles, check your owners manual.
Sounds like you may have gotten a load of bad fuel.
