be careful who you ride w/

from another forum: in short, dude joins up ride, crashes, tries to sue person who told him about ride.

Quote:
T'Was an SA thing. DAy after X-Mas '04. Coupla choads joined a group of us on a 'Spirited' ride early in the am. my 900RR, coupla R1s, a Gix 750 or two, and these two guys on littler bikes(EX500's). Caught up with me(sweep) at a light in Helotes and asked if they could ride with us. Light turned green before I had a chance to answer, so we rolled off.

Guys passed me on 37 when I stopped to tell them to take it easy. Straightened out the very first left hander. I helped him out of the ditch just as their ****ing chase car caught up with us. I asked kid if he was OK, he responded he was. I gave him my # and told him I was able to help him piece the bike back together if he needed help.

Used my # to trace me and have me served on NYE.Suit alleged I arranged a ride far above the new riders' ability and facilitated the crash. Was dismissed, but was a MAJOR PITA and cost me a little scratch to make go away. (5 digits)

I can totlly understand why Moira doesn't want to organize SW rides any more.

It doesn't have anything to do with the greedy F'N lawyer that convinced the little sh.. bag to sue him. Thieves and lawyers one in the same.
