They base the fee off the sale price you tell them on the bill of sale and the transfer form... unless you go wayyy low.. then they go blue book. So how much did you put down for the sale price?

not sure if that's true. Paid $2800 for my 01 S10 last year....ended up paying tax on the BB Value....which was 4,800. I was , even brought in my BOS and a copy of the check used for payment. I guess they got tired of Pancho bringing in a title for an 04 Escalade with a BOS that said 2k.

Depends. You can't do the sale price of $1 BS anymore. The state will look up what the bike is worth, and charge you based on that.

yeah this has happened to me couple times. and i wasnt lying about how much we paid for the car, even had BOS and all that stuff...
