The 800 is already a pig and this 1200 won't be a lightweight. It is supposed to compete with the Busa, the BMW and the ST.

They'll debut at the bike show in October / November.
I wouldn't expect them in the showrooms till early 2010.

Sadly, no VFR will ever be able to compete with the Busa, the K13, or the 14, especially with a V4 platform.

why not? a v-4 platform is a very formidable foe. why do you think the desmo duc is a v-4?

dunno about that, BMW considered the V4 but w/ very little experience went w/ the I4 on the new 1000RR

Honda and duc and aprilia on the other hand have loads of exp w/ hi-po V4s........

I think a V4 is a great platform, but the VFR is a sport tourer, and will never be a hyper bike. The motor has the potential, but even as portly as the other hyper bikes are, the Viffer will be nothing more than a dog. If you want to beat the Busa, the 14, and the K13, you'll need an inline.

I do remember, but think about it's competition back then too, plus, who was riding that beast....Spencer

I'm not saying it's not possible, but it is highly likely that Honda will not be able to go head to head and make it a true hyper bike

Wish they'd take that new motor and drop it in a magna. Would love to see those come back into production.
