Borescope

Does anyone have a borescope I can borrow or rent? The diameter of the scope has to be smaller than a 1/4". I'm in the southeast side of Houston on Beltway 8 & 45 south. I would greatly appreciate it.

Ashtead in Pasadena rents them. I hope you have an idea what they rent for.

Ouch. I called Ashtead and I don't think I want to rent it from them. I could buy one for the price they gave me.

They have the best ones. What are you trying to scope?

I need to see inside the piston bore. The electorde of the spark plug broke and I need to see if it is inside before I install new spark plugs. I don't know if it came out through the exaust valve which is a small possibility.

I have a scope that is made for that very small, Snap On, can U bring the bike here? I would rather not send it across town, My shop is in Tomball, U sure it has to be less than 1/4? thats really small, do U have the plug out? If so then it should go in the hole about the smallest is 10mm

I removed the plug and yes it has to be .25 or smaller. My bike is a '01 929 and the plugs are small. I will let you know when I run out of options. Thanks for your offer.

dude, ur bike uses a fairly common sized plug, every bike i've ever worked on has plugs the same size. the hole into the combustion chamber is just like flyin duc said, 10mm. i don't think you realize just how small .25" is. there's not a plug on any motorcycle in the world that small. my r/c planes and cars use glow plugs that are bigger than .25"
