When we took that back road to brookshire. I can around one of those tight turns with another car kinda using all of her lane and a bit of mine, and I just got nervous for some reason, so I went into the ditch. For some reason I got this aweful feeling that if I didn't I was gonna clip the suv. All good, learned my lesson for the day, that's for sure

I loved riding it. it is easier on sweeping turns but tighter turns felt better on my r6. That also could be because I comfortable on the r6 after a year, and had only 50 miles on the duc at that point. Just need more practice.

yeah its a trade off.... usually ducati is more stable once the bike is leaned but due to the same stability it will take more effort to flick the bike around! The r6 is one of the best middleweight sportbikes around and it is a much easier bike to ride, but once you learn the powerband and steering on the 848 you will fall in love with the confidence inspiring stability that no other japanese bike can offer! It took me a good 3000 miles to get used to the v-twin. Now i can ride it as hard as any japanese liter bike out there!

Trust me I noticed, I was putting around compared to you guys. I just couldn't get the throttle right. It definitely will move though. Should be an interesting couple of months coming up

get comfortable with the bike first before you take it to the track! if you want i can follow you next sunday and see where in the corner you need to improve and adjust, we are both on duc v-twins so both bikes have similar performance and handling!

The reason you go to the track is to get comfortable on the bike in a safer more controlled environment

PS Just because you go to the track doesn't mean " to the wall" One of the best parts of the Track Day is the classroom. They teach you soooo much, and the instruction is superb!!!

Brother... You are ready for the track. You don't have to be riding like Rossi. Its not a race, but a venue to put in safer "performance" riding. I dont know if you have done one yet, but it feels amazing when all you have to worry about is picking the right line, and not worrying about police, road debris, or traffic.

I only go about 70-80 percent out on the back roads. I hate when there is virtually no run off I've been know to do a lil 4x4ing at the track

You should definitely go to the track except that it makes riding on the street is so boring. You'd get a months worth of experience with a single trackday.

never done a track day before but it is most definitely in my agenda. i can only ride at 60-70 % on those back roads cause i am always worrying about cops, incoming traffic, and my tires breaking loose if i give it too much gas coming out of the turns. A track day or two will let me explore the potential of my bike in a lot safer environment than on the street!

I know I don't have nearly as much fun on the backroads as I do at the track. But then again I like to pose more than anything else
