Ive been to 2 different talks about oil with engineers from ELF and REPSOL, they both showed the same type of chart, but in both charts THEIR oil was the best LOL.

just use the specification listed in the owners manual, any popular brand will work. Personally I like ELF.

PD: do not use synthetic oil if the manufacturer indicates to use mineral, some parts of the engine (like orings) are not compatible with some aditives

the best oil is clean oil

i use AMSOIL. expensive but whatever.. it seems to run great. i also saw charts on this with practically every oil out there. except it wasnt the best on every test but was by far the best over all..... according to their numbers.....

its not specific about motorcycle engines, but is not only about compressors either. the interesting part is the beginning and the chart (that could be applied to motorcycles), not the examples.

Anyway, what i mean is that if manufacturer suggests to use "" oil, is because they tested it extensively... so USE IT dont use anything that is supposedly better (or worst), it will be a waste of money using synthetic if the manufacturer proved that your engine is going to work fine and last several years with mineral.

oh, by the way... Ive never seen an engine broken because of synthetic oil, but I've read about some cases.
What I've never seen, read or anything, is about an engine broken because of the oil suggested by manufacturer so... why bothering using something different?
