Wow I know exactly what you mean about the pictures not doing it justice. I just came back from a 3 week trip June/July. Man I wish I knew about the renting bikes though, I went through Culpar a few times. Looks like you had some nice weather too. I was lucky we rented a car so I was like a Japanese tourist riding shotgun snapping away. The scenery is so breath taking and the people are super friendly. I was born there and have gone back the last 3 years. Good to meet a fellow Scot. Great pics

I'm all too familiar with that feeling. Everytime I go I don't want to come back. If I could I would leave everything here and live over there in a heartbeat.

Two yrs ago we went for 14 days and camped 11 of them. The best vacation I have ever taken hands down. We were skipping rocks off Loch Lomond the last night wishing we never had to go back. I told the wife, "I could do this another two weeks with no problem." She said "Not me I need a real bed." She enjoyed it too, just wants an air mattress for the next time.

Brilliant - yeah I loved it but not enough to camp it for a month so I can't argue with that!!!

Those are some absolutely BEATIFUL pics of the scenery! I have some pics of downtown Edinburgh from 1943, but nothing in color. I'd LOVE to go over there some day. I've always wanted to ride Scotland and Australia. Good job on the pics. Almost makes me feel like I got out of this -forsaken place for just a little bit!
