My 2 mates own there own, but I rented from a place in Cupar about a 1 hour drive north of Edinburgh. Not exactly cheap 60 pounds a day for the sv 650 = about $100 but the guys at the dealership were very cool and I will be using them again.

As for the views, I promise you could stop every 5 minutes to take another picture it was just neverending. You struggle to get to your destination because you just want to stop everywhere. Oh and by the way these pictures DO NOT do the place justice...not even close!!!

Very nice pics! What an amazing trip that must have been. I have to go over to Aberdeen for work soon and I will try to take SassyChassis with me. She has been wanting to go for a while.

It does look cold though!

It really wasn't cold, all I had was my regular leathers that I use here. I did have the tube for my neck as a back up and ofcourse water proofs BUT they only were used late at night when the sun had long gone. August can get to be just perfect IF you can avoid the rain.

Like Meaner said, we go over there every other year and love it. It's by far the nicest country in the world. And you're right, pictures don't do any justice for actually being there. I recognized a lot of the places that you went to. We went in march and I'm ready to go back again. There's just something majical and mythical about that country that words can't describe.

Thanks for posting the pics. Post more if you can.
