Place in town to buy an Aprilia

Is there any place in town that WON'T drill me a second buying a used Aprilia? I know AF1 in New Braunfels is fantastic, but its a little difficult to keep tabs on their used inventory.

It definetly has ohlins in the front since they are gold (regular mille's with Showa forks are silver), If its truly an R then the rear is going to be ohlins as well, cant really tell unless I saw the bike in person or he had better pics (various cf bits would be on it.)

Its funny that the front fender is painted when typical R's have a black cf fender

I'd prefer a second gen just to get the radial brakes, but might have to settle on a 1st gen based on price. Looking to spend <$8k.

that bike i listed is an '07 at $9k, OBO, it should be close to your budget.

aprilias don't hold their value for whatever reason.

i'm sure you know about www.apriliaforum.com , run by af1

Call AF1. Let them know you're a serious buyer, your price range, and what you're looking for.

They didn't get to be the most popular Aprilia dealer in the country by mistake. They take care of customers. Period.

Just because I'm willing to pay up $8k doesn't mean I WANT to. The ohlins suspension doesn't really mean that much to me so if I could snag.....say an '05 RSVR non-factory for $6500, I'd go that route.

And yes, I know about apriliaforum, this will be my second RSV.

You do know that radial brakes came on the late 02's and all 03's right?

you would be pretty hard pressed to find a second gen R for that kind of money. 6500 will get you an 03R or an 04rsv mille unless you have extreme bargaining skills or a big stroke of luck.

Only the R's. Even the '04 RSVR (non-factory) had non-radial brakes. In '05 ALL RSVs (factory and non factory) got radial brakes.

I picked up my '01 in 2/06 with only 1450 miles on it for $6700. I'm good at finding weird deals.

And just to remove some confusion

99-03 there were 2 models: RSV and RSVR the latter having the ohlins and OZ wheels

IN 04+ there were 2 models: RSVR and RSVR-factory the latter having the ohlins and OZ wheels.

I unfortunately still refer to them (2nd gen models) as the rsv and rsvr

Yea, the nomenclature change makes it hella-confusing.
