Helmet spikes/mohawks illegal?

I hope this is right. I'm all for personal freedoms but those things (especially hawks) just make all sportbike riders look like dumb****s.

No Wai I'm going right now and buying FIVE hawks just to you off.

I'll keep my freedom of expression thank you

p.s. it's a moot point because you are not required to wear a helm anyway with some exclusions. They are not illigal to have spikes or hawks... they just make them no longer DOT or SNELL approved.

I'm against that law. If someone wants a Mohawk on thier helmet it shouldn't be illegal. 1it does not negativly effect the structural integrity ofthe helmet and 2 I don't like people telling me I can't do something. And 3 next they will pass a law saying no Mohawks on your head and no pirlercings in your ears and blah blah blah

I'm exempt, and in Texas even eye protection is not required so I'll wear what ever I feel like.....or don't.

I just meant hawks. And in all honesty I wouldn't support such a law - for some reason I just CAN'T stand helmet hawks.

but if your helmet's not DOT approved then you have to have the exemptions for helmetless riding.

Yeh, to with those people that like to be different and stand out. I think we should outlaw real mohawks too.

I'm all for personal opinions, but WHY do you hate people that wear them?
