Kinda of a local guy doing good.

Matt Hall rides with us down in the CMRA also.

http://motorcycling.speedtv.com/arti...pirelli-tires/

It gives you an idea of the level of competition in the CMRA.

Like in most sports, it takes money to win money.

If he'd have been riding Bridgestones, he'd would have taken 5 tenths off the track record instead of just 4!

OK Correction, he did a lap at the old lap record on Supercorsas, then dropped that time even further on slicks.

Awesome! For the last 6 years that is all I have ridden. I've personally built a lot of confidence in the Bridgestones. This post wasn't really to promote Pirelli, but just to reconize the efforts of a great guy (Matt Hall)

Maybe one day when I have some time and extra money I wouldn't mind throwing on some different tyres to try some other things with you at the track.

I have only used 2 different tyre manf to date (Pirelli and Mich), one with very good results and the other not so good (but probably wasn't the tyres fault I over cooked it). For me, my brain thinks Pirelli stick and that works.... I personally believe confidence in the tyre and setup is the key at any level to going faster. One day.... stary eyed looking at the sky ... the actual tyre performance may mean more but right now I am not so sure I am pushing the tyres that hard, maybe I am, but I doubt it. I always feel like the front is moving / pushing right at or just after the apex on a fast corner. However, there are times when I don't feel a darn thing and go much much faster through the same corner so at best it isn't consistent... which probably indicates it is the rider

you're on pirelli, that's a great start already

but yeah, after a lot of seat time and some fast laps....you'll start feeling more what the tires are capable of, and what your suspension is trying to tell you.
