SIDI for sure, best protection, this is not about comfort or price we are talking about ridding boots not to go to shoping/walk the Katy Mills on a tax free wekend.

The ridding boots are made for ridding, so dont buy them and walk around, sit on a bike and get the feeling for the boots.

For what you are describing the SIDI will be your best fit. Don't take me wrong Alpinestars are great boots but they are too bulky and dificult to get in and out.

how is it not about comfort? it's all about comfort. see how you feel about pinky toe pain ten minutes into your day of riding. wear the boot. see how it fits. it's just like buying a helmet if you ask me. just like gloves. not all finger tips fit. iwear a* gloves. fieldsheer and most other brands have too long finger tips.

I have the smx plus boots and am really happy with them. Broke in well, fit is great, and pretty comfy too for boots. The vents work well and I even have worn them all day when running a bunch of errands on the bike. Plus they are great safety wise and have been holding up well. However, buy a set of magnesium toe sliders! The plastic ones won't last too long =)

If you're dragging toe, you're doing it wrong.

that exactly what you told me the other day. I came in to try them other one on, and you recommended the plus. Could you order the plus in the vented, or maybe cut a better deal on the ones you have in stock. I only ask because I can order the vented on MSS for about 30 bones less

No lol the plastic ones bend easy and are weaker is all. My plastic toe sliders suck but I'm not dragging my toes! Lol
someone I know however must have been dragging toes with the plastic ones on bc it ate through their boot even.

I've crashed the out of Sidis and even have the tire mark on the upper side on one from tight passing in a corner. Replacing toe sliders is easy. After all I've been through with mine, that's pretty much what I'm sticking with. No injuries sustained even when I had another bike run over my foot sliding into the grass at Hallett. Great, proven product IMO.
