Man this sucks but when will people learn to wear gear. At min gloves and Helmet.. and that is scraping by.. RIP to the wife. The husband has to deal with this for teh rest of his life knowing that if he woulda made her and himself wear gear she might still be with him.

Stfu about the gear. The people that don't wear it don't care and the ones that do are sick of the preaching. I think mh as a whole gets the importance.

I think it would be a great idea to get some bikes together, flowers and or a donation then visit the hospital to show our support. Hmmm
I dont think I could bear to go on living if my girl died while we were on the bike. Not that I'd kill myself, but life would cease to have any meaning. I'm pretty sure I'd never ride again.

Gotta agree with you on the bit about the gear. When someone is dead, the last thing anyone wants to hear is a gear whining about how they should have had it on.

We all ride different bikes for different reasons - but its all the same wind. We all also know that gear or not, when its your time to go, its just your time to go.

If all you have to say is ATGATT, please, STFU.

I messaged the President of the club. This is what the email said:

Trouble,

First and foremost, our condolences to the family and members of Sons Of Texas. We had someone post a message on another motorcycle message board this morning and had a few forum members asking if anyone knew a way to donate or if you were planning a fund raising event? I saw the paypal like and will pass that along, but if you guys do do something, even though we may ride different styles of bikes, we would like to help in any way you see fit.

Please let me know and I will be more then happy to pass the message along.

Sincerely,

Bobby

Link to Paypal for donations is at the bottom of the page here

RIP and prayers to those recovering. It's selfish and disrespectful to the fallen and their families to talk about gear on this thread. I'm sure it wasn't meant that way, but the family might.
