Today I looked over the clearcoat and realized I have a little bit of dripping, especially around the stickers. I'll need to sand down and reapply a top layer.

I also have to paint the front wheel minimally today so looks like the clear will be another day venture.

The clearcoat makes it look amazing! But I can see where I added it too thick. Again, Im doing it in a dark box contraption large enough for the pieces to fit in and nothing else. Plus I cant hold the can open constantly... too much overspray. So had I the means to do it right, it would be alot better. Still its interesting to see it become this while only working on it an hour a day if that.

matt, you can flatten out that double bubble with an oven set to between 150 and 200 and keep an eye on it so it doesn't boil and bubble the plastic.....that's how i make rear huggers.....use a cookie sheet and when it gets to temp it wil flatten out to the sheet, use leather gloves to take it out and you'll have 10 minutes or so to shape it........if you have something close to the final curve of the shape ready to go you can just lay it out and let it cool......

Good idea. I dont think my mom would appreciate it lol.

I have some plexiglass that will go under the knife and I can cut, bend, mold to fit.

Question: Did you drill the vent holes in the fairings and upper cowl or is that stock? Just curious. I like it.

Definitely inspiring work. I want to thank you for sharing this with us!

Yessir. Im at my limit now even w extra goodies etc. I didnt include tires and some small things like tools/carb sync stuff that I'd be reusing in the future.

I have all the pieces, just need to rewire the front electronics and slap it all together

I'm sure i'm not the only one watching this build who is getting inspired to take on some sorta build project of my own. Keep it up Cali.
