Pffffft. They give us a list of MotoHouston people, plus he's going to want the TCLEOS hours, so we'll definitely know.

I've already forwarded this to the Instructor for that class. I'm the Range Instructor on that one.

Enjoy the class, I rode for almost 25 plus years dirty ,but this past spring took the course at Mancuso Cycles & passed while learning some good stuff.
You will feel good once you get your mc endorsement.

yeah... he had to have matched my speed. i know it would have been effortless to outrun him, but he would have showed up to the same place i was headed, only he'd be all off and probably spot my bike :P

i made my peace with him a few days ago and thanked him for the metaphorical kick in the (no rodney king here) to get legal. he thanked me for stopping, saying that most sportbikes wouldnt stop, which i dont think is that true, right?... only if we wreck? oh... hm. ok, well i stopped anyways, lol

You seem like a nice enough guy and it kinda surprised me you were riding without your M endorsement. I've done it before too for a couple of years when I was younger but I'm straight now. Not criticizing, though.

Honestly, the only thing I can think of that bugs me is that you thought you could do 90 and get away with it. Period. Pretty sure just about everyone on this forum has done -and passed- 90 easily (I prob did it today). But when you claim you did purposely, and passed your "buddy" in a marked van already doing 15 over, that just takes me back to thinking anyone with connections feels they can do stuff like this and get away with it.

Personally I dont think you 'screwed' up. Just at the wrong place (passing up a marked vehicle) with the wrong person (wasn't your buddy) at the wrong time (no M endorsement) with the wrong mentality (I can get away with this). Good job manning up and getting all this straightened out tho.

(Even if it was someone else is "making" you straighten it out!)

the msf basic riding course is something i have wanted to do since before i got the bike. i'm totally self taught. we trailored it from north austin to montgomery and i learned at my parent's place out there and picked up on it a bit slowly, but im doing fine now.

my corporal, who rides a victory, called me up after i had let them know i was doing the msf and had it scheduled and paid for and he tried to talk me out of it, like 'wtf you know its a waste of money, right?' (im paraphrasing) and i let him know i understand, but wanted to anyways.

oh boy, my kids have finally made it to bed. time to get a few hours sleep. tomorrow (err, several hours) is the gauntlet. lol see you there, challen!

im not fighting it. he thought he was doing the right thing. he seemed more shaken up from the intense pursuit than he should have been. i know he didnt have to follow me to work and take it up to the top of my chain o' command, but whatever. im glad i didnt get a ticket. not so glad that im off the bike for now, but today is the 2nd day with david and debbie at awesomecycles. its been fun. tomorrow is some hard core, raw, extreme dps waiting action. gonna get me a 'in paper license
