why do you feel it puts more strain on your wrist?

Is that only when braking? or is your passenger supporting their weight using you?

im the exact opposite, as long as shes not leaning against me she levels out the bike a little bit, and takes the weight off my hands, and also feels more stable in the curves.

Those are my thoughts, bike is a lot more "planted" when shes on the back. We usually take 290 and head out to the country and enjoy the air out there away from the city (head up through montgomery/magnolia)

My passenger is not use to riding and leans against me somewhat...
Also when she leans on the tank it forces me to lean more fwd too.

Dont mind it but would prefer straight rides over curves and stop and go traffic.

Now when Im alone curves...

Are you running stock suspension with stock settings?

Im 5'8" and she 5'3" so reaching the tank is lil hard for her. She also sit way up front on the rear seat causing me to smash my ba77s against the tank. She has learned how to lean with me and hold with her knees.

When I am a passenger, I use the tank to support myself when stopping, etc. That way all of my weight isn't on the rider. Not to mention, I try and stay pretty still. I have only had one person ride with me and I didn't feel very confident. With all of my other bikes (excluding the 06 gsxr 1k I just got) I have had to tippy toe it. My passenger was my 6'2" hubby so maybe that was why too?? YES RandomStranger was my monkey

I don't think most sportbikes are set up with heavy enough springs for 2-up riding. If you go 2-up, you'll likely need to turn up the pre-load a few notches to get it right.

Standards or Nakeds, however, will usually come with heavier springs for 2-up riding. The 919 is sprung for 250#.
