Arrow MotoGP: Bautista to Suzuki, Vermulan out

http://www.roadracingworld.com/news/...?article=37746

Quote:
Suzuki Motor Corporation is pleased to announce that Spaniard Alvaro Bautista will be joining its official MotoGP team in a two year agreement to contest the 2010 and 2011 MotoGP World Championships.

Bautista was Spanish 125cc champion in 2003 and crowned 125cc World Champion in 2006. He moved up to the 250cc class in 2007 and earned the 'Rookie of the Year' title for his impressive results. Bautista was runner-up in the 2008 title race and he is currently in contention for this season's 250cc championship, sitting in second place with six races remaining. Since his Grand Prix debut in 2002, Bautista has scored 43 podiums including 16 victories (eight in each class). The 24-year-old hails from Talavera de la Reina in Spain, a town approximately 130kms west of Madrid.

Suzuki is very pleased to have achieved the signing of one of the brightest young stars in Grand Prix racing and looks forward to developing a strong relationship and exciting races with Alvaro Bautista.
So Bautista to Suzuki and Caparossi given a one year extension = no more seats at Suzuki!

Something discussed yesterday on live coverage is that Vermulan (now out of a ride) has approached Tech3 Yamaha and has stated if given a seat he would ride for free!!!!!!!
that's ****ed up
he must really feel he has a point to prove

I thought there was talks about Vermulan going to SBK, not sure what team.
Riding for free, wow! as long as he's not taking Edwards spot!
By the way how about Bautista's crash after the race,

So all of you day dreamers stop considering Spies going back to Slowzuki. Yammi has claimed him.

Fo' Sho'. I never thought he was going to MotoGP at all for 2010. Now 2011 after winning a championship or two in WSBK...

As far as CEII's seat, I think it's a LOT more secure than Toseland's!

No doubt he turned down the Aspar Ducati ride afear'd of it still being a 1-man bike AKA Stoner special.

He has a much better chance of getting the most out of Suzuki's mediocrity in MotoGP.

Big fan of Alvaro's. He obliterated the 125 field, got up to speed quick on 250's.. should be interesting on the big bike.

Hector Barbara on the other hand has NO business riding in MotoGP!

these are hard times financially
Tech3 missed the only mid season testing day yesterday at Brno due to a lack of funds,
Toseland earnings 1.5m
Edwards earnings 2m+
Vermulan earnings if they took him up = 0
Just saying

I too believe Vermulan will go to WSBK tbh
Toseland to Ten Kate WSBK or Yamaha WSBK if Sykes loses his ride

Yup, I saw Elias making his plea
I have some sympathy
but not much
he's had more than enough chances in motoGP imo

If there's room for Takehashi, Cannepa, Talma, and Kalio then Hector B has every credential to be there
so he's a bit wild sometimes
he's also very very fast

hehe.. Takehashi and Cannepa shouldn't have been there. Kallio, yes.. Gabor... sure.

De Angelis? No! consistently fast, but not a racer. Doesn't know how to race.. just knows how to go fast but yet to learn how to win.

Hector B, same thing except less consistent and questionable intelligence.
