ChrisScott514 (? number?), Ian, went off the HOV- he's fine now, but he was run over by a car on the freeway after he fell. He was hit from behind- hit and run.

A little wind and a moment of inattention can cause bad things to happen quickly.

I know a couple of people mentioned wind.

I've ridden through some SERIOUS ****ing wind and haven't ever been blown off course more than a few inches.

The inertia of a 600 lb bike and rider traveling at 50+mph will take a of a breeze to blow you over/off the road.

The people who go off over passes either come into the curve too hot, stand it up, hit the guard rail and go over the handle bars - or hit decris that sends them into the wall.

Unless a rogue tornado snatches you up I really don't think you have to worry about wind.

Yes, but it is extremely bumpy going though there.
People love flying through there for some reason and if anything happens, you have a good 50+ feet drop.

Not a good place to test the handling of your bike.

the maj. of these accidents are riders riding too fast, and loosing control, crashing into a wall , whatever......how about riders pay attention or ride within their limits.

Problem with these ramps is that they're almost always a decreasing radius turn (most noticeable on a m/c at speed) and you just can't see around the corner.

it's only a problem if your going to fast or don't have the skill.

thousands and thousands of people ride it w/o crashing.

Even a skilled rider can crash if unable to see far enough through the turn for the speed they're traveling. Any form of hazard can be just beyond sight.
