Yep, I got it too. BS!!

Groove Union has been cancelled this weekend due to the heat!!!

If you were one of our new Supermoto customers we have not charged any credit cards. The Supermoto sessions were also suspended as our Supermoto contact became very sick and we were not able to get things properly set up! He has been replaced today by another very capable body and we will hard to be ready for the next date!

See you at the next Groove Union!

Yeah, something tells me this is the start of things to come.

How is it too hot to drive a car around all day?

Well, I know the asphalt can breakup during extreme heat. (MotoGP Laguna Seca?) But I checked weather.com for Sunday.. High of 92, 30% chance of rain.

only 3 motards signed up. He didn't have any better luck with the cars. 10 guys told me they were signed up, but only 3 really were.

I've got the survey, and will get it posted up Monday so you all can download it, and put in your 2 cents.

Also, just so you guys know, David didn't cancel this event because of the bikes, but it was the car guys that failed to sign up, causing this.

I'm curious as to why he cancelled the date. I mean he owns the track, he has no insurance, no staff to speak of. So essentially no overhead. He still stood to make some money even if a few of us did show up. I JUST got my motard out of the shop so I was a little reluctant to go flog it on the track without some break-in time on the cams. With that said even with 3 cars and 3 bikes, he stood to make $600 for one days work......no too shabby IMHO.

He's going to have to make a solid date if he wants this thing to gain any traction. Even if it's a small turn out at first, he's gotta get the ball rolling.
Word of mouth is what sells dates and people are going to be weary of signing up and taking off of work if it's gonna be like this every time.

I think John hit the nail on the head.
That track is doomed. Hate to say it. I love the layout and the surface for smaller displacement bikes but nothing has even happended down there that was promised. EVER...........

Ok guys do the math. 3 bikes signed up. Thats $300.00 if im wrong correct me. Three cars sign up . I dont know what that costs> Ok expenses. Ambulance on sight $700.00. Insurance for the motards $600.00 for 1 day. He looses money.
I figured the 16th was to soon so the next date is is beleive the one we originally wanted to start. 9/27. So all these that said oh ya i'll do it i'll be there and did not sign up. Well what does that say to the track owner. No body is really intrested. I pleaded with this man for 2 years to let supermotos have there day. And look what happens NOBODY EXCEPT 3 SIGN UP. NOt worth the effort would you say??

I was under the impression that there would be no ambulance and he doesn't usually carry insurance himself. Now I agree if he does offer those services, then yea he is loosing money. I'm fully aware of the cost involved.
