Well, here is the only thing I can think of that might actually do what youre wanting, but IT IS STUPID TO DO!
Try clicking down to a false neutral, just in between gears. Bike will act just like its in neutral and coooooooooooast while you stretch.
BUT be careful how far away from the bars your stretch your arms, because if that tranny clicks down into gear its going to be quite an abrupt transition.

but really...dont do this. Im cereal.

Question actually, how long are you stretching?
I happen to move a lot and stretch a lot on my bike, if anyone whom rides with me can probably agree, and I don't shift out of gear, if I have a stop coming up I will down shift maybe smoothly not just straight dropping the clutch, try rev matching as well idk. best i can help but from the looks of what I've read from this thread, sounds like you're bike might have a trans problem if you can get into Neutral.

Use maint throttle. Dont shut the throttle off but roll off WRT how much you want to slow down.

OR

You can leave it in 3rd gear while you are "coasting" to a stop. I do this every now and then when I need a "stretch"....

I click my bike into neutral going about 50mph when Imma bout to roll an endo

I dont know why yours wouldn't want to???
