THE HUNGER at the SCOUT BAR! 9/6

Anyone here intersted in going to see the Hunger at the Scout Bar on Sept. 6th? I try to go see them every time they're in town. For those of you who have never seen a Hunger show, IT ROCKS! Who's up for it?

It's in Clear Lake on Egret Bay (El Camino Real) and Nasa Rd 1. The Hunger ALWAYS puts on a good show. I'll drive across town any day of the week (and I have) to see them.

Is this the same "the Hunger" that I used to watch in dance clubs back my club hoping days in the late 80's early 90's? If so they are awesome! At least to an old geezer like myself.....

They're a pretty good band. Wish I could go!

Yup, it's the same band. They've made a couple of changes in the lineup since then, but they are still badazz.

I'm 44 and I am right there in front of the stage jammin just like everyone else. As far as local bands, I've always liked the Hunger the best.

Isn't the owner of Scout (I forgot his name) a member of Hunger? I miss that place from my days of residing in Clear Lake.

lol.. THE scout bar is off the nasa and the 270 ... you can look it up on the internets

Be prepared. It's very small, very crowded and very hot. The Hunger is @ Scout quite a bit. The owner is a friend of one of the Hunger band members but the long time rumor is that he is an actual member. Only room for so many then they turn you away. Parking is minimal so dont get there too late. Bikes can park up on the sidewalk near the courtyard though

Major flashbacks happing here... They call him Tbone

Thomas Wilson and his wife Aline pretty much own and run both scout bars. Thomas and Jeff Wilson are brothers who originally started The Hunger. I seen them play in a garage at a party in Pasadena in the early 80's.

That's absolutely correct. Thomas owns the Scout Bar and Jeff (his brother) bartends sometimes. I remember a few years ago standing in Toys R Us at Baybrook talking to Jeff for almost half an hour. In fact, he made a log entry on thehungeronline.net about meeting me. Those guys are really cool. Over the years they haven't developed the mentality that they are stars and therefore too good for normal people. Also, their music is pretty much timeless. It's every bit as good now as it was when I first heard Vanishing Cream! If you've never been, then you should go. Yes, the Scout Bar is small, and can be hot. However, the show is fantastic and VERY high energy. Every time I go to see them, I get home worn out!

I'm thinking about heading up to that show. I didn't see anything about it on the website, but will take your word for it. I've seen them once, and it was a good one! Since Scout put in the new speakers above the stage, the sounds was UNGODLY at points, so be aware for anyone who is thinkin of coming.

oops didnt see all of that. Thomas has been a bartender since way back. It is a good venue to see a band. I saw Seether there and it was the . You can stand at the bar and still be pretty much front row.
