Heal up soon Linz and hope there's no permanent damage.

Not to laugh at you getting hurt but OMG why didn't you drop the thing? I would have laughed my off at first but would have quickly gotten worried about ya! A butterfly? Seriously that thing looks pretty bad...

I hold the tube every year (don't know why) but I will never do that again!

Glad to hear that you are not on the permanent injured list!

Dropping it wouldn't have gotten me an audition with Nitro Circus.

Yeah. That one, in fact. In this picture you can see it has been taped back together and the shredded part has been cut off so we could launch the remaining mortars, which we did Saturday night. Big fun. Since we lost some barrel length, we lost some velocity, which made the mortars explode much closer to the ground than what is normal. Cool.

(What you can't see in the picture is my trail of blood from the night before. )

ummm, yea. *note to self* don't hold the mortar tube anymore.

why would you light the mortar and then drop it in the tube? the fuse is long enough to light it after its down there, in the right direction.
