LSTD mini's Hallet Results

Despite locking up the engine on lap 14 of the race, we're still in 2nd place .

the weekend was going well, i got up friday morning at 5:15 loaded up and was on the road by 5:25, arrived at the track around 2:00 friday afternoon.

scooted around on the bike a little bit to warm it up and took the track for a 20 minute session to learn the track direction. saturday rolls around and cliff did the 30 minute practice session before the race to learn the track direction, all with out any troubles at all. the race starts and we're doing well, i finally get the nerve to hit turn 1 WOT in 6th, going up the hill headed toward the bus stop and the engine locks, back tire slides and WE'RE OUT OF THE RACE. i coast in to the C/W station sneaking up on them. good ole Ryan came over and hauled me and the bike to the pits.

we'll try it again and hope for better luck at the next round.

Congrats to all the MH people as well as all the others who aren't on the board for showing up, supporting the local companies and the CMRA.

i thought the overall turnout was poor but it is a long haul and a bit expensive in this hurting economy.

i was loving the track in the CCW direction.

i'm glad to hear that we are still in 2nd, but I would assume we are well out of grabbing that 1st place spot.

thanks for letting me ride that sweet little ktm of yours.

How many F5 teams were competing this round?

Our F7 team skipped out - it seems like you can podium every time you show up in the F7-F5 grids, I wish the number of teams taking part would increase.

We're needless to say also "still" in 2nd.. :$

the mini grid was slightly light this time around, i would have like to seen more on the grid but i guess money is tight for lots of folks.

BTW, try not to let CIVICOUS ride your minis. he's a real terror!

It seems alot of Mini teams had trouble. Our lower fell off and then the motor broke w/ about 5 minutes left and we still moved up to 4th overall. Weird.
